At Centre for Survival, survivors of violence, trauma, and displacement, along with individuals with diverse migration experiences, receive comprehensive support encompassing medical, psychotherapeutic, social work, and integrative assistance. Beyond rehabilitation and integration, the center's focus on scientific research and documentation contributes to broader insights into the field of trauma, therapy, and the establishment of scientific standards.
The center provides avenues for medical diagnostics and treatment within a holistic psychosomatic framework. In the Refugee Assistance Department, refugees and migrants access a wide range of services, from psychological, legal, and social counselling to vocational training, facilitating their transition into education and employment.
The scientific division for trauma and transculturality at the Centre for Survival conducts research aiming to scientifically investigate the psychological impact of war and torture. Additionally, the center houses a specialized library gathering literature and resources on the specific effects of torture, persecution, and extreme trauma.
