# Basically you have two choices to make:

1. You either have to open the .pdf files with FREE Software OR

2. You create an Adobe Cloud Account licensed for the University (7 euros/quarterly).

# How to open .pdf files with free software ---

## Some possible choices for FREE .pdf software which may already be installed on your machine:

- Adobe READER / good compatibility for documents created with Adobe products. only for reading, NO editing (editing ONLY in PRO versions)

- Sumatra PDF / small, fast, lightweight PDF reader, sometimes problems with printing .pdf documents created with Adobe products

- PDF24 Editor / FREE pdf editor, small, fast, tons of features, sometimes problems with .pdf files crated with Adobe products

- PDF Sam FREE / some swear by it

## To open the .pdf files do the following: - right-click on a random .pdf file - search for "open with" option - choose "open with" - choose an installed free software of your liking from the list - if you are using Windows 10 and there is no software to be found, scroll down the list, use the option: "look for other software on pc"

# Alternatively you can go PRO (Adobe, that is) ---For 7 euros quarterly the whole cloud of Adobe products opens up for you.
