eduID.at

eduID.at allows service providers (like librariesproviders of databases, journals or research or and collaboration tools) to grant users from other "federated" organizations access to their services -- without having to locally manage usernames and associated passwords. eduID.at is an Authentication and Authorization Infrastructure (AAI) based on SAML 2.0 and the saml2int deployment profile.

eduroam

eduroam allows users of participating institutions to access the wireless network at other participating organizations using their home institution's credentials. All this with a minimal adminstrative overhead. Depending on local policies at the visited institutions, eduroam participants may also have additional resources at their disposal.
