Symptoms: Your Lenovo notebook unexpectedly enters sleep or hibernation mode and sometimes dies or even in case that he is coming back again, everything is gone - and adjusting the power settings in Windows does not seem to resolve the issue.
Source: The issue may be caused by a misconfiguration in the Lenovo Vantage application or incorrect BIOS settings.
Solution: In Short: If you go into your Lenovo Vantage application >> Device/Gerät > Smart Assist/ Intelligente Unterstützung there should be a setting for auto lock that if you disable should fix your issue.
1. Open Lenovo Vantage Commercial
First, you have to open the Lenovo Vantage Commercial application, then click on "Device"/"Gerät", next on "Device Details"/"Details zur Einheit" and lastly on "Smart Assist"/"Intelligente Unterstützung"
2.Smart Assist Setting
On the next screen you should get a toggle button "Zero-Touch-Sperre" - it will be activated as can be seen in the first picture below. Please deactivate it, like in the second image below.
3.Smart Standby Setting
One last thing - Check if the following setting "Smart Standby" is deactivated as well. Please see the image below to see the correct setting.
4. Well Done!!!
