Description: Amsterdam’s Circular Strategy provides interesting insights into how the Global, and EU level goals are being implemented on the municipal scale. As Amsterdam is a longstanding contributor to circular initiatives, and has chosen Kate Raworth’s Doughnut model as a guiding framework, the city is a prime example to explore the ways theory and concepts begin to come into fruition. Moreover, this will compliment the other readings which also highlight district level circular initiatives in Amsterdam (see Cuomo et al. 2020), illuminate another scale, and further exemplify practical approaches to urban circularity.
