Using AI in teaching
The use of AI tools in teaching has been further expanded for the summer semester. The following options are currently available to you:
- Prepare customized tailored AI instances on topics related to your teaching on u:ai to support students in their personal learning.
- Use the new Moodle activity “u:ai Tailored AI” to give students easy access to the Tailored AI instances you have prepared.
- For u:stream recordings and uploaded videos, you can have subtitles created automatically to increase accessibility.
- In the Zoom video conferencing system, you can use Zoom AI Companion to improve efficiency and clarity—for example, through automatic meeting summaries, whiteboard generation, and much more.
New “Tiles” course format
The new “Tiles” course format converts course content into a visually appealing, graphical grid view. Various design options are available for this: sections can be assigned individual tiles with symbols, colors, and images. The activities and materials contained therein are only opened when the respective tile is clicked, which keeps the course clear and avoids long scrolling. This format is therefore also ideal for use on mobile devices.
