Setting:

• Windows 10

• An Administrator account

• The install *.exe of the MWC has been downloaded to the local C:\ drive into this folder:

• C:\Source\Software\MWC\

Note: Ask your departments tech support for the install file

Installation:

• Log into Windows 10 with your Admin account
• Go to the location of the installer file
• Right click on the installer file
• Choose: Execute / Open as Administrator
• Follow the installation process until the install folder has to be chosen
• When asked for the installation folder, create a new folder and install the software there:

• C:\MolecularWeightCalculator\

• Keep on following the installation process
• When the installation has finished, go to the program folder as described above
• Right click on the folder and choose "change permissions"
• Grant full permissions for all users for the folder
• Go to the start *.exe file of the program in the folder
• Right click on the file and choose: Start as Administrator
• When the program has openend without problems, close the program and log off

Setting up the MWC for users without administrative privileges:

The user has to log with his account

After logging in, go to the program folder and click on the start *.exe

You will be asked for admin privileges for a software installer

Log into that window with your Admin account

After the process has finished, start the MWC anew

The program should now have started without admin rights

Create a link on the desktop for the MWC if necessary

Note: Repeat this process for all users on this machine, who wish to use the MWC
