• You have closed your degree programme at the University of Vienna before the start of the semester and are not admitted to any degree programme at another Austrian university for which you have to pay tuition fee.
• You have completed your degree programme or stage of your degree programme before the end of the period of grace (date of the last exam) and are not admitted to any degree programme at the University of Vienna or another Austrian university for which you have to pay tuition fee.
• You have closed your degree programme before the end of the period of grace of the current semester. You must not have participated in any exam, submitted any academic paper for grading or be admitted at another Austrian university to any degree programme.
• After having paid your tuition fee, your application for a leave of abscence is approved.
• After having paid your tuition fee, your application for a remission of the tuition fee is approved.
• You have paid too much. The difference can be reimbursed.
• You have paid too little and have therefore lost admission at the University of Vienna. The paid fee can be reimbursed.

Ukrainian students

If you have already paid the tuition fee for summer semester 2022, you can apply for reimbursement. Please follow these steps to do so:

1. Check your bank data in u:space > Personal matters > Bank account. Make sure to specify a bank account that you can currently access! The reimbursement will be transmitted to the bank account you saved in u:space.
2. Complete the online form in the Servicedesk and choose the option “I want to submit an application for reimbursement of the tuition fee/Students’ Union fee.” You do not need to provide any proof of the reason for reimbursement, the payment confirmation is sufficient.
3. The processing of your application takes approximately ten working days. As soon as your application has been processed, you will receive a confirmation that the reimbursement will be implemented to your u:account e-mail address.
