JuJitsu
for Self-Defense and as a Sport - Information about USI Course 553:
Modern Self-Defense for Beginners and Advanced Students The name Jujitsu means "The Art (Jitsu) of Yielding (Ju)." The core of Jujitsu lies in harnessing the attacker's energy and redirecting it against them. In our courses, we offer Jujitsu and modern self-defense for beginners and advanced students. Jujitsu is suitable for everyone as a sport and for self-defense, especially for smaller and weaker participants.
The training begins with the basics: short, efficient, and easy-to-learn self-defense techniques, such as dodging, locks, throws, and shock techniques, both standing and on the ground, which can be used to fend off and control attackers. This is complemented by rolling and falling exercises, as well as a short, playful warm-up to develop strength, endurance, coordination, and awareness. Advanced participants will appreciate the extraordinary variety of different possibilities within Ju-Jitsu. Over time, everyone can develop their own style, tailored to their mentality and abilities. This makes Ju-Jitsu particularly well-suited for responding appropriately to a wide variety of threats.
Weather permitting, we also train on the sports field during the summer semester.
