Beate Pamperl has been working Fabian Jusufi is a staff member of Coordination Digital Transformation at Zentraler Informatikdienst. He is cloud administrator of the public cloud platforms Microsoft Azure and AWS at the University of Vienna since 2007. She began as an IT representative at the Department of History and developed databases and interfaces for numerous research projects in the field of Digital Humanities. Today, she serves as the IT coordinator of the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies, digitalization officer, and deputy faculty manager.

About the speaker

Peter Rauscher is a historian specialising in early modern financial, administrative, and economic history, as well as Jewish history, particularly in the Holy Roman Empire and the Habsburg Monarchy. Since 2005, he has been a lecturer in modern history and became a Senior Scientist at the University of Vienna in 2024. He has been PI of the project cluster “The Danube trabe. Sources on Austrian Economic History (17th/18th Centuries)” since 2010.

Lilian Nowak supports Vienna University Library’s Bibliometrics & Publication Strategies team, developing tools such as SciTextMatch (which identifies cross-university collaboration potential) and interactive visualization techniques for bibliometric use cases.

About the speakerAndrea Serles studied History

Can Çelebi is an experimental economist working at the University of Vienna, where she holds the position of a research assistant since 2013. The main focus of her scientific work is the online edition of sources related to the Danube trade in early modern times. Apart from history of trade Mrs. Serles’ research interests cover the history of public finance and infrastructure as well as town and regional history. Since January 2025, she is the co-editor of the volumes on the 16th and 17th centuries in the series "History of Lower Austria”intersection of behavioral research and large language models. His work includes incorporating chatbots into experiments as interventions or instructional agents, developing reproducible methods to structure unstructured text, constructing efficient and low-cost LLM-based simulations of behavior, and identifying AI- or bot-driven responses in online surveys.

About the speaker

Raman Ganguly is head of the IT Support for Research department at the ZID. With a strong software development and media technology background, he has been actively involved in digital data archiving since 2011. He mainly focuses on design and technical models for data preservation. Additionally, he leads the development of Phaidra, along with other open-source projects aimed at data preservation. At the University of Vienna, Raman oversees the creation and operation of systems to preserve data from research and education long-term. Alongside this, he has contributed to various local and international projects, aiming to enhance research data infrastructure.
