Daniel Rose has started his PhD in June 2023 as part of the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Molecular Informatics in Life Sciences. His focus is Machine Learning Algorithms and Data Science in the field of Cheminformatics. He had joined the Langer Group for his Master’s Thesis, where he worked on Machine Learning Methods with Pharmacophores. Daniel holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Freiburg, and a Master’s Degree in Computational Science from the University of Vienna.

With a strong software development and media technology background, he has been actively involved in digital data archiving since 2011. He mainly focuses on design and technical models for data preservation. Additionally, he leads the development of Phaidra, along with other open-source projects aimed at data preservation. At the University of Vienna, Raman oversees the creation and operation of systems to preserve data from research and education long-term.
