Daniel Rose has started his PhD in June 2023 as part of the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Molecular Informatics in Life Sciences. His focus is Machine Learning Algorithms and Data Science in the field of Cheminformatics. He had joined the Langer Group for his Master’s Thesis, where he worked on Machine Learning Methods with Pharmacophores. Daniel holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Freiburg, and a Master’s Degree in Computational Science from the University of Vienna.

About the speaker

Bernhard Scheid is a Japanologist with a research focus on Japanese religious history, in particular the history of the Shintō. The digital handbook Religion-in-Japan was created in 2001 as a teaching tool for his lectures at the University of Vienna, but is constantly being expanded as part of his work at the Austrian Academy of Sciences.  

Can Çelebi is an experimental economist working at the intersection of behavioral research and large language models. His work includes incorporating chatbots into experiments as interventions or instructional agents, developing reproducible methods to structure unstructured text, constructing efficient and low-cost LLM-based simulations of behavior, and identifying AI- or bot-driven responses in online surveys.
