Starting a video conference
...
You have 2 options:
- Start a video conference on the lecture hall PC: To do this, open the video conference on the lecture hall PC.
- Start a video conference on your own device: First connect the device you have brought with you to the video conference connection on the lecture hall desk. Then open the video conference on your device.
The appropriate connection cables are labelled Videokonferenz and can be found (depending on the location) in the teacher's tray or at the porter's desk.
Note |
---|
The connection cables allow you to connect to the USB-A and USB-C ports of your device. Please use only these cables and avoid any additional adapters. |
For meetings in Moodle, go to moodle.univie.ac.at and open the video conference meeting in Big Blue Button or Zoom (both tools are supported).

- If you want to share your presentation/screen in the conference, share it directly in the video conference tool.
- If you are working on your own device, you must also connect it in the lecture hall via HDMI or VGA so that your presentation/screen can also be seen via projector in the lecture hall.
- If you want to change the camera position during the meeting, use the u:stream camera control again. This is only available on the lecture hall PC.
